Andrés Sánchez

Producer, audio engineer & sound artist

Andrés Sánchez is a Mexican audio engineer, producer, musician and drummer. Currently focused on the production of podcast, radio programs including the recording, sound design, composition, and production of electronic and urban music. For 10 years he has been part of the Fosa Común hip-hop label and collective, and individually he has consolidated two individual projects to encompass all his artistic production: Sánchez1000 and Cachaza. All of them are projects with which he has published long-term materials, EPs, singles and had collaborations with both national and international artists such as Andy Martin, Buena Tarde, Cajm and Geassassin.

Soundwaves are physical forms that can be charged with emotion, meaning and ideas. As an musician and engineer, sound is the raw material as clay is for the sculptor.

In the past three years, Andrés has specialized in voice-over and podcast recording, production and post-production. Freelancing in a range of projects including public schools, private initiatives, and individuals. Being able to create professional-sounding pieces that help to fulfill other people's dreams to communicate.

Andrés also has experience performing and producing a variety of musical genres outside of digital and has come from a mixed upbringing, having the opportunity to study with composers and musicians including Michael Ladoucer, Kate Simko and Pilla Reyes. He has also worked as a producer and executive producer for film, music, live events and podcast projects. In recent times, he is working as a producer on the most recent E.P. of the singer and songwriter La Puga María, winner of a Minerva award in the state of Jalisco, México. He has worked in branding companies like Butchershop (SF), for the National Jazz Festival in Guadalajara and more.
